(if you can call them eyes)

(if you can call them eyes)

A Poem by Dith

I want your soulful murmur ringing in my ears
I want to see the physical world in your eyes
I want your stare
For as long as you can manage
I want that pause, the infinite glance
I see god in you when I become you
And I want your wordless experience
Every second, every eternity it took
to look at you but not even
That's too vague a word to describe
What happened to our eyes
(if you can call them eyes)
I meditate into two suns while time stops

(Pause) You're breathing with me
(Pause) You're blinking at the same time as me
(Pause) Your smile mirrors my smile
(Pause) Your movements are my own

You could die. I could die.
But we never die and this is realized in the stare.
No past and no future, only eternity, only the present
Ever expanding universe.
Let's fake our deaths, but you know we'll fail.

Now and forever, I think. A wonderfull portrayal of physical and spiritual empathy. I am not quite sure I understand the last line - but who understands everyting in poetry?

The eternity found in a look, the universe explored in the holding of a glance, wonderfully expressed!
