Deserve III Last Chapter

Deserve III Last Chapter

A Poem by Gerhardus Retief

Memories don't lie in the hurricane of a suicide.
The questions were asked the answer is clear.
Everybody is tinkering on the thought of your pride.
Why bury the facts in a useless soul's ear?

This blatant masquerade led to the closing of the curtain.
But there are so many unread chapters from your life.
If only this tragic beginning had a unlikely drop of burden.
The faith of one's dream can only come true by edging it on a knife.

The quake of the threatening world of yesterday will never miss tomorrow.
Having a lost prayer is no way to burn in the fortunate clover.
Just something of what the masks won't whisper to you about your sorrow.
To think the repetitive bait is still trying to win you over.

But to someone's artistic degree the ink will swallow your vain.
Just arc the dry brush toward the deserving dark of your taint.
Its here to empower you release you of your pain.
Explore the reasons why the most putrid of ink can be the lightest of paint.
