Your move

Your move

A Poem by Gerhardus Retief

They fall away yet they want to place.
In the game of chess they rest in the eternity.
Its safe to try don't need to justify the pieces.
Now break it down just don't move at the same time.
The things will overwhelm you against the clock the moves are wrong.
Our own little world where we fight on black and white squares.
Not fighting for survival but for sacrifice with every shift.
The air we breathe belongs to the cold statues on the field.
Like soldiers they will all around their king as if they are one.
It is a frozen fantasy where debris make true lives behind a wall.
The king and queen command their betraying bishops to die.
Can see before they even think if only the puppet master will let them.
Watch them die or so to say slide off their square and fall onto another.
Stand up against those people who block your way to victory.
This is an essence of bonding these statues are just asking for too much.
The remedy is reigning over being self distressed.
Most only lose because they think they are better than the rest.
There is only one thing you have to believe and that is that they don't care what you think.
Do what you must as hard as it is it is the only way to move through this maze of the lost.
Check...Your move
