Monster

painful pricking, scarring serenity
fifteen in paradise, forever in remorse
i can't say why, it's all a lie.
feeling these wounds in the distress
for how i had to afflict this anguish

i won't forgive the monster tearing me down
pulling them apart, making me die
the monster is self-inflicted...

the monster is   me.
