White LightA Poem by Ilana KA poem about death.
I can see the white light
that they talk about it's so close And as I walk in its direction I feel its warmth soothing the dull ache in my body I walk towards it to leave behind the shouting the screaming the sharp pain that's flashing, pulsing through my veins I reach out And it dances away drawing me further from the physical world Where I took my first breath of life To the mysterious nothingness which lurks on the other side I look down and see myself Lying there bloodied wounds that look so deep my soul could enter back into my body through the slices on my thigh But with a wave and a kiss goodbye I take a leap of faith and jump into the light © 2012 Ilana K |
