Coral Hunt

Coral Hunt

A Poem by Dipanjan Bhattacharjee
"

A short description of the life beneath the sea.

"
An ocean beneath which corals lie-
Settling animals,with span do die.
Stiffness prevails beneath the sea,
With darkness painting the coral tree.
Deep inside the benthic field,
Growing lives in jumping yield.
Littoral arena of darkness sweep,
Fitted with heaps of coral reef.
The green layers of brine do wave,
A depth of freezing zone of brave.
The serpent crawling beneath the floor,
Hides in chunks of coral door.
Painted colours of stones in block,
Is born out of surviving rock.
A beauty of diverse creature store,
Beneath the oceanic secret core.
Glance the zone of immense price,
The depth of beauty and avarice.
Its the richest gift of mothers choice,
Do praise but away from fatal voice.
