The Ended Illusion

The Ended Illusion

A Poem by Dipanjan Bhattacharjee
"

Lost in oneself, weird perception and viewing the world in a different perspective

"
Perhaps it started, an year before,
Rising tides came to hit the shore.
Sand dunes painted the patterns there,
With due love and tender care.
Maybe the spirit which belongs to me,
Glanced the view, sitting beside the sea.
So many glimpses went in light,
Creating mix of dark and bright.
Patterns got printed on the canvas life,
Mixed with patterns of love and strife.
Who did used the colours to paint,
Is still a mystery, awaiting invent.
The highway man on the racing horse,
Broke the end line with mere remorse.
At the start with hope all grew,
But on the path, were men so few.
I stood there beside the street so quite,
Just staring at the unusual sight.
Race had began but nearing end,
The highway man is a perfect blend.
The new morn lighted the branches all,
A strange signal, a bewildered call.
Flying lives did caught the ray,
And took the oath to lead the day.
They flew for food to feed the gen,
They flew among the crowd of men.
The rotten souls with smelling skin,
Do pose a threat to the pleasing scene.
I stood like a zombie beneath the tree,
Staring at wings, all flapping free.
The clean world deals with rotten mire,
Which looses on the best of its due attire.
I glanced in eyes at the world so strange,
With peeping eyes over all the range.
Still I do say with great innovation,
We just spotted an ended illusion.
