QuestionsA Poem by Ren GraceQuestions I
ponder the way we live our lives By
asking myself questions I’ll never know the answer to Like
why the sun sets with a different beauty of when it rises And
where the memories of our dreams go after the first morning hour How
believing would ever correspond with seeing And
why time is the ultimate healer though our days are numbered What
past did the lady with the phony smile suffer? And
if tears come from our eyes why do they sting? Why sun
showers exist when clouds cast shadows And if
there are any more colors than the ones between the rainbow Why did
our first poem have to rhyme rather than speak the heart? Why do
we live if we inevitably die? If
all things come to an end, how did they start? But why
am I here when I could have been anywhere else. © 2014 Ren GraceAuthor's Note
