Kind of BlueA Story by Robert FachowskiFrom Miles Davis' album of the same name. Being written to the mesmerizingly beautiful song, "Blue in Green".
I always used to read these novels that often talked about listening to some legendary jazz musician. I've often wondered what they would sound like and what it would make one feel. But now, as I travel through these sands, I feel as if that wondering is now but a memory swallowed up by the marital mystery of the vast sky and sea.
Though I am alone, I am not an ounce lonely. I feel peace. Like every fiber of my being is meant to be in this moment at this exact time. My footprints usher in the future of the shore. However, as swiftly as it stays, the swell of the sea swiftly races up and swallows the part of me I intended to leave; to be thankful for this fortuitous moment in time. Sudden, and my prints are no more. They are honored, like a sacrifice and welcomed like family. Scotch in hand, I take a sip and savor it in the heart of my mouth. The heat swells in my body. I nod, half in satisfaction to myself and half for this surreal painting-like beauty of existence that lay before me. No more worries. © 2010 Robert FachowskiReviews
