Dog-earedA Poem by Robert Fachowski"Dog-earing" is the little fold at the corner of the the page. Used as either a marker or because something is memorable.
Character
Depth Like a battle scar from war Something that tells a separate story A passion or a hunger for that place in your head An escape that takes you anywhere The all-seeing eye The omniscient emotion A companion And at the same time just camouflage for loneliness staring you in the face word for word A memory A treasure unburied Cherished and taken to heart All along just wanting to share the beauty known So a smile would find it's way onto your lips and you'd fold a little part of me too © 2010 Robert Fachowski |
