The Bookstore (Opening Scene)

This is the opening scene to the first short story of many that will be compiled in a book called Coast to Coast

Little John leaped out of the back of his parents car and began running through the rain into the bookstore. His little sister Susie came shortly scurrying after. Their parents Kevin and Claire climbed out of the old green rover and shut the back doors that were left open by the meddlesome two. Inside the bookstore John weaved in and out of the readers within the store knowing exactly what he was looking for. He ran past the cafe, past the clerks until jerking to a stop. Little Susie came crashing into the back of him. Little Susie too stood there. Both of them looking up for their favourite part of this familiar journey. John held onto Susie's shoulder in excitement. They both glanced up in the enormous library of mystery looking for their favourite part. Where was it hiding?
