Friend (When I)

Friend (When I)

A Poem by Dino Winwood
"

Did this when a girl who I knew for years turned me down..

"

When you first came around, I wanted to be your friend
When I got to know you, I was happy to be your friend
When I saw how much we were alike, I was proud to be your friend
When I grew older, I was still your friend
When I wanted to not be alone, I reminded myself that I was your friend
When I wanted to love you, I was still your friend
When I was nothing, You were my friend
When I became more known, you were still my friend
When people forgot about me, You were still my friend
When I wanted to hold you, You were still my friend
When we parted ways, You said you were still my friend
When I looked for you, I wanted you more as a friend
When I found you I knew, I would always be your friend

As I walk the Earth now I know, I will always and Only be your friend

Say what you feel, if it is to insult then move on, I don't really write for people to tell me how I can write better, I write cause I feel like writing something in a certain way.

I think most of us has had someone like this in our lives and sometimes it's hard for feelings to not be returned, but were also damn lucky to be able to keep those people in our lives. Thanks for sharing.
