To be McCracken

To be McCracken

A Poem by The Cracken
"

Some of the thoughts from one of the few remaining McCracken's. My Bloodline will forever remain enscribed in the history of great authors.

"

Why then, must I live with such torture? And when will my searching end?

A boy blessed from birth with the imagination and creativity to pull emotions stuck within.

Searching, always searching, for a valid point to all of this, or perhaps a higher purpose.

Curious, some would call me, I prefer the term unmistakably focused.

A wanderer, a loner, an emotional a*s stoner.

The labels you give me will only make me stronger, therefore, I stand before you today a little while longer.

A little bit meaner, a little bit stranger, marked one of the "wierd ones" by those merely marked standard.

Your oppinion of me and your discriptions will never be able to match who I am.

I am Dimitri, one of the few but proud African American McCrackens.
