they

they

A Poem by DiMar4u

conveniently perched
they swallow all they can
their time so precious
made rich with your love
when they're high it's goodbye
as the tide sings low
they know just where to go
too busy, too tired, too caught up
you love and you love
what comfort can they bring
when the sorrow begins to stirr
all you wanted was a friend
but they couldn't bend...
-to give is not convenient:

it's a dime a dozen
for my convenient friendz

ah..this poem is like a knife straight into the heart of things. We have acquaintanceship, we have love, but when the time comes and you need it the most
they are no where to be found. Pour your heart out and hear not a word, they turn their backs and leave you, or so it may seem. Communications, human relations, so hard sometimes, I think you have captured this feeling so completely in this write!

What a really nice write, you fill up the space so nicely. I like the simple title that fits with the words you chose for the space the poem is written in. Enjoyed.

This is so true!
We have so many one-seasoned friends all around us all the time..and knowing that also, sometimes, we just cant help loving them.
It is sad, really.
Beautifully written poem.

That does add up to what "convenient friendz" are indeed. Damn them

This is so true and you captured the feeling of being used so perfectly! The tough times are a perfect backdrop for weaning out the good friends from the false. Will read more of your stuff later!

Isn't it something? My mom has this saying, you have a dollar in your pocket, you have a friend, but if your broke you have none.
Real friends love you and are there for you regardless of your situation may be; and they are friends to the end.

Oh, true friendship like love is indeed very difficult to find. The friends of springtime are many but the friends during the rains almost none.
