more than i could lendA Poem by DiMar4ui've watched it before, time has it's way of tearing my tree apart; all the elements of the earth conspired: first water, loosening the stronghold, defeating roots.... ....then, the wind and the ice, weighing it down, testing strength; i've watched it before, though i can't look away, i can't help but want.... ....that i might stay-- it's a bitter taste, lurking in my world and, though i might hope again, it's more than i can lend-- while looking for the end. © 2014 DiMar4uReviews
