A Story by DiMar4u

--in what wayhave i loved her?

i would wake in the morning, before the alarm, and see the sun light pouring into the room and think of her. i would jump from bed, smile at the world, knowing her world was waiting for mine. my challenges were moments in between measuring my days around her smile. i dreamed of growing tall, spreading out wide into the world so should she want shade i could provide. i promised i would put it all down, look into her eyes, and sacrifice everything so she could see the sunshine. i asked myself questions. all sorts of questions: what does my word mean? what do my actions say? what does it mean to be right? what if neither of us is wrong? what if all we need do is find where these emotions belong? is there no way? is there another way? can i see it her way? i found i had less to say with more to hear. and, i would hold her near. i would caress her hair, whisper my thoughts to her. never concerned with much more than how she feels and where she might sit or, when i might hold her again. sometimes, her face would change. and, my heart would grow in between the sadness-through it. all the while knowing....we're all just waiting and, waiting together is easier to do than you'd think--

When I reached the end of this story I gasped, gasped because I agreed: ..' waiting together is easier .. '

Seems a contradiction in emotions here .. a separation perhaps and yet, a union so strong you're overwhelmed.

The words, the flow, is beautiful .. full of longing of almost being certain ..
