a figment of our imagination

a figment of our imagination

A Poem by DiMar4u

we are deceived by time,
as it slowly stealz
the only peace
we may ever
own:
the moment.

as we live the past
we surrender the
moment,
forfeiting itz
graces and,
all the while,
telling ourselves
how "it should be."

we live,
everlasting,
in the moment;
and the moment
is what holds us,
steadfast and unwavering,
so that we may live,
eternally,
through the love
we have left
behind....

Holding a moment, in love is like casting a ripple out over the universe till it lands and forms within the realms of plausibility, possibility and or fruition, is key and probably the hardest thing any one human can do. beautiful write, I chuckle at the "z" and wonder why they are there also.

Ah yes, but sometimes the love we leave behind grows exponentially, and awaits us in our future. A very thought provoking writing. You could do a prequel, and a sequel to this! Nice.

I like your line "as we live in the past, we surrender the moment". I am very guilty of this, so I'm always looking for reminders of why this moment is the one that matters. Good work.

Moments as special as time itself .. memories encapsulated in the past, carried forward yet remaining in the time when hope sprang ..

Maybe i've misinterpreted .. a poem to think about perhaps ..

Greetings and yes if we dont get "now" right we sure as heck wont get the past right (or even redeem it) and the future is only the next now!
Well constructed and thought through although the final thought seems to belie the message - surely to be consistent it has to be "the love we live now"?

However I love a poem that makes me think and I thank you for this. One question "Why doez it have the zs in it?" I found them distracting and puzzled as to how they connected to or carried the thought of the poem on. to me they are an affectation which detracts from a great poem.
