A Mind is a Terrible ThingA Poem by Dillon M. M.This was something I wrote when I fell into my latest bout of depression.
A mind is a terrible thing.
Beautiful in its flawless imperfection, but damaged in its monstrous authority. Every idea slowly meditated and pondered, like a phantom burn resonating in a metallic sea of affliction. Distraction seems like a proper substitute from the tantalizing pains of life, but no song or comfort is more turbulent than the repetitious beat of a broken heart. A purpose is something I miss having, my heart beats for nothing, like a clock without time. But even in my darkest of hours they can not be my last, because from here on, it will get better. It will always get better. © 2015 Dillon M. M.Author's Note
