Stand Tall

Just a little motivation for anyone who feels down or is in need of a friend.

Rising from the ashes we make,
in our minds are the battles fought.
That which tests our fortitude's sake.
The lesson learned is never taught.

Determination is the key
that holds the answer to our vice.
Persistent is all you need be.
Ignite a fire to rid ice.

Together we can make it through,
whatever life throws at our feet.
Forged by bonds that which holds us true.
United we cannot be beat.

So stand as one we surely will,
uplifting down trodden spirits.
When need be we shall stand until
all calls answered, we adhere it.

I like the emotion created in the first line, "rising from the ashes we make" -that sets up a powerful structure that the rest of the piece follows suit with. Also, the contrasting images of fire and ice are nicely handled. Very enjoyable to read this!
