The best relationship you will ever have with anyone.

Dear friend,

To where have you gone?
I waited all night long, I even left the light on.
Was it something that I did, or something that I said?
I'm sorry for if I betrayed you, inside I feel so dead.
Would you please come back to help me?
There's not another place I would rather have you be.
Why won't you slow down?
After all this, and you're leaving me to drown.
How can you act this way?
'Tis a very sad and dark day.
Will you be there when I am to go?
Best friend, we've turned to foe.
Once more will you play my song?
Waited all my life to see you again, oh how it's been so long.

Birds are chirping, the sun is setting, the air is crisp and the grass lay so tender.
Faces are weeping, children are singing, and I am seeing.
You've come back to me old friend, and I am ready to go.
For I have you with me now, and I'll never run out of you again.
But, now I must leave you and everyone behind.
Something I have been searching for in my mind.
So before we part ways, I'd like to thank you for the memories we shared.
I'll always remember the first time that we were paired.
You said you would be there until the end.
And on that promise you did not bend.
So life was the struggle that you aided me through.
But Time I am forever departing from you.
