To be loved...

Old poem I wrote back in the day. More so prose form.

To be loved by another was a wonderful thing that I held deeply. I couldn't explain what it really meant, just that it was one of the greatest feelings in the world. To feel so strongly for someone that you would go to the end of the Earth and make any sacrifice for this person.

I think most of the time love is blind and that people just disregard it for something else. If you feel strong for another person you should show it and tell that person before its too late. Things happen for a reason a good friend once told me...I'm starting to see that that's right in a sense. You see, I failed epically on my chance for something great with an amazing person and I regret it all the time. I have many regrets in my life and if you're reading this I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. If there's a chance then you need to take it and see what happens. Most people would be surprised to see what good can come their way if they take a risk every now and then.

Love is defined as "a strong positive emotion of regard and affection." What the hell does that mean? Nobody really knows what love is, they make their own definitions based on how they feel. A lot of people don't realize what they have til' its gone. I really wish I could have that one opportunity back that I gave up so long ago when I was dumb and immature. One of the biggest regrets of my life was letting go of one of the greatest people I've ever met and it was so short I never really got to know that person very well.

Don't ever let anyone ever talk you down about you can't have that person or you can't be with so and so. If you believe in your mind that you are supposed to be together then it will just happen. Confidence is the key to winning anyone's heart. If you're not confident how do you think you will ever succeed in life? It's not possible. Cockiness and confidence are two different things in my mind. I feel it's ok to be confident but not to exaggerate it to the extent of "cocky."

Love is a chapter in my life that has just begun and will not end for a very long time. Most people claim to love one another but how can you love someone when you wouldn't die for that person? Isn't love making all sacrifices for that special someone even if it's the ultimate sacrifice? It just pisses me off when I hear people say " I love you", and they have no clue as to what those three deep meaningful words mean. Rather they say it to escape reality and venture into what they believe is the perfect world where nothing is wrong. I just find it wrong to pretend and/or play with people's emotions like that and straight lie to their faces. You all will know when you "love" someone and its not anytime soon that you will find it.

I'm not entirely sure I can end this right now I just thought I'd give you some insight on my thoughts of love at this time and how it affects people's lives. I just want people to experience life as a kid right now and not love get in the way of any of your dreams. Be all that you can be and prosper in life. Love comes from every angle of life and in time everyone will have that one chance-or multiple chances in some cases-to find that person that you can't live without and want to spend the rest of their life with. To be loved by another person is truly an amazing aspect of life.

That's such a personal piece of writing and very well put, both as a written post and emotionally. It's wonderful to have someone like you try to guide folk into loving, trusting and all .. but you know, people will do things their way, come what may and they'll be hurt, they'll be happy .. but most of all, they'll be vunerable human beings, whether or not positively, negatively.
