A Poem by dillonjensen
"

For anyone who just cannot simply let go of that person who meant everything to them.

"
This is the final chapter of you and me.
Quite possibly our finest hour.
I did not want it this way, but I'm going to let it be.
We should still be together, but things turned quite sour.

What I'd give to hold you in my arms one last time.
I can hardly breathe without you here.
We were meant for so much more; we were meant to shine.
It's crazy how far away we are now, when we use to be so near.

I hope you're satisfied with how this turned out.
You knocked me down on my knees.
Life beyond you is tough to think about.
I'm getting back up, but not with ease.

This poem is really cool. I especially like the part "I hope you're satisfied with how this turned out, you knocked me down on my knees"--I watched one of my friends go through that, and that about describes it perfectly. Relationships--more often than not, they're not worth the effort and pain.
