Thoughts On LoveA Poem by dillonjensenI explored a thought I had and tried to take it to its logical conclusion. I argued with myself for a while because I wasn't sure it made any sense. Maybe someone can take from this what they need.
Love is selfish, no?
It's like wanting someone's ego to fill the gaps in your own. I get its allure Love is intoxicating or at least it has the capacity for it to be. But I still think it is selfish to ask someone to constantly be this thing for you That is just unrealistic and a reason why I think many people fall out of love Do you get what I mean? I feel like you must first strip yourself completely naked in a figurative sense You are whole without the things that you own or don't own Including your ego It's like a shoe that we all wear But once taken off I promise you you are worth it to someone somewhere. @dillonleejensen
