Precariat

Precariat

A Poem by dillonjensen
"

noun: /pri' ke:riet/ A person whose employment and income are insecure, especially when considered as a class.

"
America is one big f*****g shopping mall.
Everywhere you go it's buy this or buy that.
If you want to keep people in a certain class,
You mass produce s**t they don't need,
But they can certainly afford it, yes.
And so advertising clings on to that premise,
Detailing how improved your life will be for
Three easy payments of $99.99.
All the while the rich get richer,
The poor get poorer,
And the middle doesn't move an inch.
Don't get me wrong,
I love this country
And all the freedoms
And opportunities we are afforded,
But wake the f**k up.
We have been becoming less and less of a
Democracy ever since the 50s/60s.
