For Lynn

This poem is for someone near and dear to me.

A reflection so bright and pure,
Beautiful envies her image,
As the silhouette starts to near,
Traced with a passionate visage.

Cliche, but she's not like the rest,
Proving to be quite divergent.
Pulling ahead of all the best,
An attraction is emergent.

Desired by many willing,
Some more deserving than others,
But this idea is so chilling,
I could be not just another.

Hope you like it. Again, I felt somewhat bounded by structure, but I ultimately think it turned out okay.

you tried too hard to rhyme and killed any good rhythm . why not explore near rhymes for a softer approach ?
