About a pretty dark time in my life, but yet amidst all that has happened I am still here, still dreaming, still achieving.
It all started with a little red pill. That gave me so much more than just a thrill. Day in and day out I consumed my doom. Being numb was a craving that did loom. But not feeling was not living at all. It was a false hope hiding in withdrawal. Coricidin cough and cold in my blood. Like waves of euphoria that did flood. Amidst the chaos was a brighter day. When a boy risked too much and he did pay. Lessons were learned and won't be forgotten. A beautiful mind that can't be rotten.
I'm of the opinion that when you're down you need but only stand back up. If you're struggling in some way, shape, or form, I'm telling you that you can and will get through it. For there are two constants surrounding us at all times....life and death. Make the most with what you have, and don't ever forget where you came from. It's a most humbling experience to fall and get back up.

Life's lessons written from the heart make for the best writes, allowing readers to connect with your raw emotions. I admire the strength and courage it takes to pen such a write. Even in our darkest moments hope and strength permeates, humbling us to rise above as you have. Well done, Dillon.

Over the counter drugs are too often thought of as harmless, but can be addicting. Sounds like you have emerged from the darkness and are moving onward...which is wonderful. Good rhyming here. Lydi**
