Waiting on a Friend

Waiting on a Friend

A Poem by The Analog Kid
"

As we get older, sometimes it really just comes down to just needing a friend to relate to. Sonny Rollins' tenor sax solo is the centerpeice of this tune. Beautiful lyrics and sax.

"

You were always there

a fixture

in this sphere

yet when I tried to unravel

your secrets in my mind

I came up empty

instincts told me

that you were a broken angel

in need of a friend

youth has not completely

escaped our grasp

yet our own demons

at times

prevent us from living

I thank God

that in some small way

our spirits have mingled

I think even when one friend is stronger then the other you still help each other. Lives intersect in the most unusual way but always makes sense in the end.

Friends are the most precious of gifts...sent by angels,,,approved by God and loved by us. You may quote me. (laughing)

Our demons do try to prevent us from living life to the fullest, but what is great is when we can and do overcome those demons.
