Future in the Past

As usual, music is my inspiration. I don't believe in hiding where I get my ideas. I think displaying them enhances the writing. I was challenged by a writer friend to do a trippy poem:)

The soul dance

some eastern trance

a funkadelic

honky tonk

sitar

snake charmer

 

camp fire girls

drift across the sky

mind spinning

completes that circle

in orgasmic delight

 

yes

some other night

melts in a flux

of the future

and my past

 

stepping through time

an ascension

in my mind

 

harmonics

resonate

and ruminate

in that marinade

that never resolves

itself

 

the endless cadenza

of a spirit

that’s

mine all mine

Man, this WAS trippy! To a wonderfully cool effect I might add! And I love the video...very awesome. Joe is my favorite guitar player. Those sparkling ember campfire girls dancing like gypsies across the sky might be "Aurora and her sister Boring Alice"...sorry, I stole that from Jimmy Buffett...lol
