Beginnings (with JustRose)

My absolute favorite Chicago song. Double helix. I installed the foundation and Rose expertly applied the mortar with her magic trowel...

we're together and all that matters is

horns quietly building then falling into a decrescendo,

those days that quite changed what I was

When I kiss you I feel a thousand different feelings,

on rose-hued and ecstatic days

just silent as words melt away
hearts full of doubt just led astray

yet still, this feeling floods my heart

when I'm with you and all that is

it’s only just the start

of what i want to feel ...

and it will last forever -

and time will hold no sway.

Just like the ending of the song

where the percussion

that grasps our yesterdays

and its distant ache

beats like my heart with yours.

This is something I'll be reading over and over, because it just, well, croons so well.

It's exactly what I used to feel when I was with the one I love, and it's brought back a bout of sweet giddy memories, heh.

this is a great poem of love and loss and wondering. I do this all the time. You know my situation and it is complicated. This poem speaks to me in ways that are prob. different from others. You have done a great job on this poem
