Snowy Destiny

Inspired by a TSO Christmas song.

He boarded that train

headed down 

that line

and

he wished in vain

too many times

all the while

that longing has grown

it's all the same

still

no signals along 

these tracks

again

he rides alone

this Christmas Eve

and while

the time has flown

those  empty spaces

with

just him and himself

the lights of the station

he sees

and then

the train slows down

as it enters this town

yes 

there's snow falling 

all around

with the softest 

sound

on the ground

and the evergreen trees

the eyes of a woman 

he sees

and his heart 

skips a beat

her love

he's finally found

hand in hand

and with

snow covered feet 

two sets of prints

off they go

into the deep

unknown

When love is concerned, one never know, what the final outcome will be in the great unknown.

The print of two left in the snow gives a stunning visual and give hope and contentment in the destination of two souls being together.

The flow of this is slower and soft in feel as it should be for a poem of love and coming together

A poem with a happy ending on W/C. I never thought I'd see it. Of course, no one knows what the deep unknown holds for them. Maybe it's just as well.
