A shadow bird has found seed upon which to savor; which to feed. Then swiftly, with a flutter, from a feathery rudder, is off again to tally the hours by the height of the sun. Patiently employed until sleep has come.
i really like this...although i might leave out the Author's Note so that the reader can relate to the poem as he or she might.
before i read the note, i read the poem...for me it spoke of those who take advantage of others...or get into fly by night relationships...break hearts and then move because they get bored...and the next sleep of contentment comes...but that too, will be ephemeral...
