Vicarious Sin

Vicarious Sin

A Poem by Dietrich von Crowe
"

Format of a rondeau derivative.

"

Marionette, angel on strings,
Thee of whom I’ve broken white wings,
This man, this king who’s mad with guise,
Who wears the mask that grins and lies,
Has lost all faith in what life brings.

Despondent dolls of sweet dreams sing
The sirens’ song but let not cries
Deter thee from their king’s demise,
Marionette.

As should thee sing whilst on thy strings,
Of love and hope, with thy white wings.
Of choice and wish, sing thy goodbyes
To King of kings who’s mad with guise,
Marionette.

This strikes so much power in today's world of big business and governments... I think is a wonderfully writen masterpiece.

Nice writing!

this is beautifully formatted! I'm amazed at how it and the rhyming scheme
work so well together like harmony. Everytime I read something other thats
not freehanded I'm amazed at how the order doesn't bottle up the creativity!
This is very nice, reading strangely makes me want to read Wallace Steven's 'The
Emperor of Ice-Cream' (i know very strange) I really enjoyed this! Nice work!

Seems you've beaten my last favorite, dear Marionette.
Spectacular, of course.

My opinion is merely that. (Should really keep it to myself)
