Am I to Stay

Am I to Stay

A Poem by Dietrich von Crowe
"

Rondeau

"

Am I to stay within this pew,

Bedazzled, by prestigious rue--

That antiquated solitaire

Whose luster seems to never wear,

Adorning every day’s debut--

Or do I make a purpose new

And flee with proper thoughts askew?

A serpent sings to me, but where

Am I to stay?

Upon absconding, vice in view,

I came to know the fit though few.

Thence Beauty came to know us there,

Outside the walls of Godless prayer,

And bade us worship Her. But who

Am I to stay?

the sheer lack of reviews on this piece shows people either don't care or are unable to appreciate good poetry. This is fantastic. Good flow, good form, good force! Profound and amusing. Well done.
