Days End

Days End

A Poem by diaphanous
"

this is kind of all over the place

"
I raise my face to the sun
I smile even though the day is done
the amber waves of golden light
fade to make way for indigo night.
If only life could be night and day
all my troubles could be washed away
I have a new chance
to live my life like its a dance.
A new partner now and then
an opportunity to make a friend
I whirl around the dance floor
and I keep asking for more
The beat is in time with my heart.
I wait for a new song to start.
The music plays on
as I sway along.
I wait for the colors to shift
for the sky to darken
for a new beauty to lift
and the past to be forgotten.

Your poem has a dreamy quality to it's energy. I can feel a flow and a pulse of both longing and memory as well as hope and peace. It seems this piece might be the representation of a moment of reflection and pondering of the past, it's woes, the now, and the future yet unwritten. I like how it touches of many little things in life. It gives me pause to think and ponder it's meaning and the images that it invokes.

Thanks for sharing!
