Two Voices

I can't forget

Happiness made me think

of all the times

we were together.

Sadness made me remember

how much you cried

when I broke your heart.

Happiness told me

to reach out to you

and ask forgiveness.

Sadness reminded me

that you ignored

every message I sent.

Happiness forced me

to still care for you

hoping you might still care too.

Sadness showed me

that you already loved 

somebody new.

If I believed Happiness,

I'd call you.

If I trusted Sadness,

I'd forget you.

But they're both liars

and I can't move on.
