Death At Your Back

Death At Your Back

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

It is a sense of impending doom.

A spine tingling chill,

that will penetrate you to the core.

It will not discriminated against you.

It will take you without remorse.

Leave you quaking in fear.

pleading for mercy.

Begging for one more chance.

It will leave you defenseless.

Harboring its curse upon those who

challenge it.

Denying absoultion.

When death stands at your back will you be ready.

Excellent write.....and to answer the question in this one.......I don't not fear death.....death is just the beginning to the new life beyond this earthly body.......when death comes will you strech out your hand without fear and welcome it? Can death been an worse than life? No more bodily pains, no more heart ache and no moe worries. The spirit set free from this flesh prison we reside in now.

I like the artwork and the poetry. When death a-coming a-knocking. Need a damn good escape. No weakness in this amazing poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Death comes to us all. The only certain things in this life are birth and death. No matter how much we think we can beat it, every day brings us closer to it. XX

Ouh, good question. At first I thought it was about vampires, but that last line really expanded it to death itself as a living thing, seeking you and eventually catching you. Will you be ready? Ugh....tingling chills. Very nice write!

Poem is a bit of a cliche and needs imagery. I like the picture though.

the begining is a bit cliche. but 3rd and 4th lines are good. this lines can be so cold. i feel the coldness one feels at the reading of your poem goes to your credit. why are your mst poems brings a clod death upon me whenever iam reading? now i like it with a prverse mirth. come to last line: it again suffer from being a cliche. i might have like: "death, when knocking at the door, where will be you?" tell me if you absolutely stunned at my audacity.

Anyway, I really did enjoyed the writing and the picture to match your writing, a real perfect match...

This is a really dark reaching piece. The picture goes along with your words perfectly.
