Sin

It is a lonely whisper upon the wind.

An empty glass of bottled sin.

A hunger that crawls beneath your skin.

A lust that consumes you from deep within.

It is a craving so strong it eats you whole,

as it slowly devours your soul.

It is a sudden urge to lose control.

A feeling you just can’t console

As you give in to its wicked ways,

and your vision begins to haze.

Something inside seems to sway

and your judgment comes in to play

The Devil screams as you prevail.

For he has yet again failed.

Sometimes the Devil gives you the illusion that you have won as well, only ensnaring you further. Or at least, so have I experienced when I had serious anger issues. While you may be able to prevent hurting some with sin, he can still help you to hurt yourself. I've seen just the smallest peek of hell from that perspective, and it terrifies me to think of what could happen if we all gave way to sin.

The question is what is sin.Very slippery to define.Go with your instincts .I believe the conventional religiously defined sins are in most cases utter nonsense. For me sin is deliberately hurting another person in some way

Whoa! That is way to intense! Loved it, its one of those that makes you stop and think after you get over being lost among the words. Great job! I also liked what you did with the colors, it some how made this poem more intense.

I like the different font colors, it makes it seem sort of like a fight or discussion and the flow, therefore, was really nice. Sin is a toughie to write about truthfully, and I think you got it down very nicely.
