Vampire Rain

Vampire Rain

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

A torrential down pour.

As crimson pools in puddles.

Screams thunder through the night.

flashes of life waming away.

A vampire swathed in a blood bath

of his own making.

His laughter swells like a tsunami tumbling

past his lips in waves of delight

soaked by the splatter of his victims life fluid

he revels in the vampire rain.

Wow, that was a zinger...! I assume you had the lights on when you wrote this poem...;)

Good job at stepping outside the norm.

I don't like vampire topics but I did read for you, for you wrote several poems with different topic. In its style this was great writing.

I remember that movie, that scene, how i had a lump in my throat when that happened to her. Great choice of images to include with this wonderfully dark poem.

Thx for sharing it and sorry for my delay getting over here to read it.

I loved this one. I think the pic of Carrie was a particularly nice touch. Well done and thank you for sharing.

Love the picture of Carrie here. The vampres blood bath. How dark, and yet, somehow sensual in its touch. Beautifully written in its darkness. XX

I'll admit that I really enjoyed most of your writings, but this one is really great, yet disturbing. Nice picture to go with the writing, but isn't that the picture from the scene of the movie, "Carrie"?

Anyway, keep up the good "darkly" writings...

This is a dark write. Your descriptions are wonderful and really painted a vivid image in my head. Very nice write.

Liked the pictures this conjured up. Felt to add more mystic I would be tempted to removed the 'A, As, A and His' from the start of the lines - This would make the final 'He' more impactful. However, just my view and you know what I'm like by now - and I would have gone over the top and had the small picture made big at the start of the writing and written in red. Bearing in mind that you have nearly twice as many reviews as I ever get I really should be more interested in getting my own visions sorted out!
Really enjoyable.

Wow. The poem was dark and drew me in and the picture complemented it perfectly. Great job.
