Trapped

Trapped

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

Sleep induce memories from a
long ago past.
Has taking me down a lonely path.
I cry to the sandman as he laughs
From above, like my pain and misery
is his orgasmic love.

Please oh please leave me be,
these visions that hammer so
endlessly.
My mind is exhausted from all this loss,
but it isn’t just my heart that it cost.
Each night I lose just a little of me,
that person I once use to be.
Something inside me has seem to snap,
as mere mortality has come to pass.

Please help me,
Help me.....
Wake me up from this madness,
a loneliness full of sadness.

Take away this agony that resides inside my soul,
the pieces of what use to be me, whole.

My sorrow lost to the masses of despair,
flanked by the horror of knowing my heart
has been stripped bare.

I am trapped in my own head in a drugged
state of my own stupidity , all I ask is to wake
from this dream of longevity.
or lose myself forever in the bleak darkness of
death,
the only end to this hell is with my last breath.

This coma that keeps me under, screams for release
as the last sound I hear is a long steady beep.

You have painted a masterpiece with language! I know what it feels like to have your heart ripped continuously to the piont that death seems the only release. Well Done ~ N

Erie. I pictured her trapped in her own body and not being able to move or communicate with any one.
Like being awake and asleep at the same time. In the beginning it reads like a mental assault that just won't stop.
The ending left me a little creeped out and the picture adds to the trapped feeling. Spooky is the word I'm looking for.

Oh thats wanton death march right there.. the long bleep.. It doesnt always end like that but its one way.
The picture like being lost in a solid fog is great and reflects the write, like being list in a solid fog, and you cant push through because it likely sreaming with tear gas or acid and chlorine gasses, something toxic and impassible.. Any how good description of the cant move on trap and the desperation it causes, sometimes the motivation is enough to move on sometimes not quite enough. Or that film, oh what was it, no its a rock band film clip, hmm I cant think of the name of the band, but I know the clip where the guy is on the bed thinking in ihs head in the end I dont know if i'm thinking or dreaming, oh god why cant you just let me die.

This was a scary poem, the thought of being able to know what is going on
while in a coma is something I rather not think too much on.
You really put the point across in this one, great read and terrifying. T

Really haunting but so sorrowful at the same time. The words were crying out begging for release and the picture went along nicely with it as well. Nice write.
