Death Calls

Death Calls

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

Death whispers at my door

it's essence pemeate my being.

Come hither he calls.

Death wanders around my soul

It beckons my worth, he lingers on

my hoplessness, preys on my weekness

Death knows my name, he knows my hell,

Death wants me... But still I fight...

Death can't have me yet....

Love this, you speak the truth of what you feel, but you also realize that you still can fight and death most certainly doesn't have you yet! ~ N >3

Was it written for the picture - or did you find the picture for the piece? In either case, this is very good!

Good...we don't want death to have you yet...

'...Lingering on our hoplessness...' A thoughtful, tunneling truth.

Thanks for the submission, Diana.

Meh like this, though others had pretty much said it, I like the flow, how one sentence leads to the next and how it can be interpreted in more than the obvious struggle against death itself.

A dark piece with a great stick it to um message... I think this can be intertpeted as more than death but the fight against those that try and hold you down from your dreams... "Never surrender, never say die"

The endless quest of death... always chasing us down as we always try to run faster. Very good flow and great imagery, very vivid. Well done.
