Death Calls

Death Calls

A Poem by Diana Owen Busy with Life BBS!

Death whispers at my door

it's essence pemeate my being.

Come hither he calls.

Death wanders around my soul

It beckons my worth, he lingers on

my hoplessness, preys on my weekness

Death knows my name, he knows my hell,

Death wants me... But still I fight...

Death can't have me yet....

Love this, you speak the truth of what you feel, but you also realize that you still can fight and death most certainly doesn't have you yet! ~ N >3

You go girl!! Just cuz he thinks he's the boss doesn't mean he really is!!! Continue to fight the good fight!
I enjoyed this piece. Good job!!

This was uplifting in the sense that the author didn't just submit to death. I liked the conflict in the poem. The author gets to fight.

This is so great! I love how you wrote this, knowing it is a fight. I love the images that came to mind as I read this. Its great that you can provoke that!

Very powerful piece. I enjoyed the view that you took with this piece. It speaks of never giving in and standing your ground against an unbeatable foe at we must all face someday.

Great Job!!!!!

Isn't death just the coolest of guys to write about. Defy the Reaper, continue to live and frustrate him for as long as possible. good poem Diana

LOVE IT! This is what I call fighting back with more than your last breath. It is utter defiance of the Grim Reaper! I've known patients who fought the reaper and kept death away from them when all my training said they should have been dead long ago. I find nothing wrong to critique here. Example of strength in the face of death. Excellent

Death seems to be a part of everyday life and i love the way you embrace it, in away mocking it for knocking at your door... You know is calling you but you choose to ignore it as it does not have any particular importance in your life, "just death, who gives"....
Overall very intese and it has a good flow, keep it up and keep them coming..
One!
