Surrender to the Night

Night Controls my life,

It's a cold that surrounds my blackened heart.

A dreamless state throughout the day.

A hunger that does not subside.

It's my own hatred that consumes me,

This hell is my world.

 

I am not alive, but undead.

My sould is damned to enter

in to eternity.

I walk this world alone as an immortal.

A kiss of darkness has condemned me

to drown in a crimson tide.

 

Pain is a curse that follows,

I am the fear in humans,

I am the monster in the dark.

 

Please forgive me...

Please forgive me for what I am.

For I have surrendered to the night.

I really, really liked this and you used one of my favorite words; subside! It sounds so weird that one of my favorite words would be subside but it is, I just like the way it rolls off the tongue.

A great piece. I like this! It's a great look into such a dark, wicked world. I don't want to take away from its standing individually, but this, at least to me, is almost like a forward in a vampire novel, the vampire's intro or something. Those last two lines, left such an impact! Wonderfully dark work!!

Vampires deadly night stalkers creatures that know no fear and can never fill their own desires because fate has cast them to the darkness to be their eternal home. A bond that consumes their thirst and lust for nothing. Beautifully written and portrayed.
