Summer, Last ForeverA Poem by dianalondonThe smell of flowers is dwelling in the air. The clouds are gone, and there’s sunshine at flare. Remove your coats, take out your shades, Because summer’s beginning, as winter slowly fades. The laughter, the smiles, the never-ending grins, And all because this blissful season begins. From the lazy days, and sunset strolls , To the drunk drivers’ cars and speed patrols. The colors drinks are passed around, While teenagers dance to the music and sound. When twilight swoons, the breeze is cool, And by this time no one remembers school. The golden days and the silver night; Oh summer, last forever. © 2013 dianalondonAuthor's Note
