Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

A Poem by dianalondon

With burning passion her loins were yearning;

For his red lips, soft kisses giving,

For his hands, with tender lust grabbing.

Restless savages, forever hungry for an unfulfilled desire.

There comes a point in temptation,

When the want overtakes the guilt.

The hedonism prevails the righteousness,

And unfaithful feels more like fulfillment

With a pheromonal urge of pure desire,

She accepted his brazen approach.

Their eyes, lips and limbs entwined.

She took a bite of the forbidden fruit.

I love the flow of the emotions and build up to a poignant ending. It reminded me of Jane Eyre which is a very passionate relationship between her and Rochester. I say this connection simply because she is very moral and knows that his status is above her but they recognise each other as equals. Instincts are sometimes uncontrollable.
This was very beautiful, well done!

Yup this is very raw and passionate and beautifully penned. You wrote about those instincts we have that can override all else and wrote it with style. Bravo!

Thank you very much Amanda! Im really happy that you can relate to this. :)
Ohhhh what an urgency in your words....incredibly passionate and filled with desire. Sometimes the forbidden is just what a person needs! Guilt takes a back seat and the only thing that matters is that second....that moment....and the two people involved. I liked this one a lot. Lydi**

Ooo la la. That was a risk worth taking. Raw,powerful, dark, mysterious & hot. Love the picture you posted of George Harrison with his wife Pattie Boyd. The only criticism to make this poem more perfect would be the image of Pattie Boyd with Eric Clapton while she was married to George Harrison. Job well done, keep writing.
