Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

A Poem by dianalondon

With burning passion her loins were yearning;

For his red lips, soft kisses giving,

For his hands, with tender lust grabbing.

Restless savages, forever hungry for an unfulfilled desire.

There comes a point in temptation,

When the want overtakes the guilt.

The hedonism prevails the righteousness,

And unfaithful feels more like fulfillment

With a pheromonal urge of pure desire,

She accepted his brazen approach.

Their eyes, lips and limbs entwined.

She took a bite of the forbidden fruit.

I remember reading this poem last week and I am not sure I reviewed it. I love it, especially that line; "There comes a point in Temptation when the want overtakes the guilt...", that line made the poem. Good work!

How realistic and yet reasoning despite the blindness of passion... I particularly like the lines:

There comes a point in temptation,
When the want overtakes the guilt.
The hedonism prevails the righteousness,
And unfaithful feels more like fulfillment

Great poem. Yes sometimes this does happen, lust and the draw to a forbidden fruit can be very strong.

Ouch! Just kidding. Nice poem, well written and everything. I never did much of that sort of thing, if you mean cheating too and I wonder is there really more to it than just another sexual high? Not to belittle the wonderful scene you painted. Good job.

Thank you so much for your kind words, glad you enjoyed this! :)
Wow! I love the picture that was painted in my mind here. You didn't have to go too deep in detail, but just the words there were just mind blowing and you could tell where they were going. You could see the seduction and the moment they gave into pure desire and passion. I enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.
