Reflection

A Poem by Emily

 I am not alone
Yet I am, inside
I wish I could slide into my mind
With only my twisted thoughts
To keep me company

I'm so busy
It's too much
And I can't take a break

I have a family
A mother who never understands
And a father who swings

Nobody knows
And nobody can
How can you know
How someone's life is falling apart
Until it's in 10 million little pieces

My friends ask what I'm doing
Nothing
Because it's the nothing I want to become

My Dear Writing Friend,
This write stings as you bring up the painful topic of D.V., an evil cancer that destroys the lives of many. You say in the poem you want to become nothing, I would suggest you become something. A something that shares with others that there is a better way to live. That reaches out to others that go threw a hell, as you are going threw and is there for them.
Thought provoking and sobering. Thank you for being transparent, I shall keep you in my prayers.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear
