The Many Faces of Love

The Many Faces of Love

A Poem by Emily
"

A poem dedicated to the two-faced lovers out there.

"
There are many faces of love.
Some are ugly,
Some are beautiful
Some are dreamy,
Some are cruel

I have seen the faces of love
Twisting and contorting in the shadows
Only revealing themselves in the light
When you don't want them
When the time is right

If you are lucky
You see the pure side
One that lulls
One that is "perfect"
The slipper is in your size

Most of us are not Cinderella
Assemble, Anastasias of the world
Let us join together
And scream our anger
And beg for forgiveness
Let time wash away the hurts

Faces of love, be aware
Fool us you cannot
Shock and awe
Is how you lure
In the end you are demonic
In the end, does anyone care?
