A Poem by Emily

Breath, why did you leave?
I need you more than ever,
Must strive to keep you

Silver threads dangle
Past my lips, luring away
The parts I hold dear

Seduction, art of
Perfecting my last decay
Into what? Wond'ring

Flesh turning to slate
I can sense my creeping fate
A slick, silent chill

She will sweep through you.
First sight fades, then hearing wilts.
Death finds one more mate.
