Poem to Love Yourself ByA Poem by Emily
Your laughter bubbles like a witch's cauldron
Whatever sorceress that brewed it sure did her best work With you. You are magic. You! With the curly hair that never seems to untangle itself from anxiety Your thoughts, your emotions, and ideas Are so fantastic They have to come out through your scalp abstractly. You are powerful. When you speak, your kindness seeps Through their shells and everything you don't own. That seems like a curse, I know. For you, people's flaws scab over with mirrors and reflect into you. Remember, mirrors flip the images of truth. You are healing. For the girl with freedom in her eyes, And a long, unknown road in her heart, You'll escape. With your will, and your hope, Anyone could. There are people with faith in you, always. Time to take a journey to discover them. You are possibility. And last, you. You who wonders if words will be enough Because they are your actions. You whose pieces separate with each action, Yearn for truth in the moments of static. You wrote this for others, seeking yourself. You wrote this for others to love themselves. Seek no more, and love no less. © 2015 EmilyReviews
