Too Far Down

Too Far Down

A Poem by Emily

Snap, Crackle, Pop
There go the bonds within
Solely made on principle

Handcuffed and handicapped
Plummeting down the spiral chute
I can feel the world breaking

Instinctively, desperately, I pull up
To no use
I am too far down
I spin my wheels in wait
Of rock bottom
I clamber for the pit
Grabbing at an imminent demise

Just pierce my heart
And stomp my remains
At least it'll be quick
